● Synthetic Origin: Laboratory-manufactured, ensuring purity and consistency compared to natural extracts.
● Specificity: Targets pituitary gonadotropin-releasing hormone cells only, affecting LH/FSH, and does not directly affect other hormones such as GH or cortisol (unlike some other peptides).
● Short Half-Life: Gonadotropin-releasing hormone (Gnadorelin) has an extremely short plasma half-life, typically 2-15 minutes. This requires frequent, low-dose, pulsatile administration to mimic physiological states-a characteristic fundamentally incompatible with infrequent 2 mg injections.
● The Problem with the 2 mg Dosage: A 2 mg dose is pharmacologically too high to stimulate a natural pulsatile response. Such a large dose is more akin to a Gnadorelin agonist used for drug castration (e.g., in prostate cancer treatment) than a physiological stimulant. It overwhelms the system, leading to an initial surge followed by rapid desensitization and suppression.
● Requires reconstitution: It is usually supplied in lyophilized powder form and needs to be reconstituted with antibacterial water for injection (BAC) before subcutaneous (SC) or intramuscular (IM) injection.
● No direct anabolic effects: Gonadorelin itself does not have any muscle-growth effect. Its effects are entirely achieved through the increase of downstream endogenous testosterone (and follicle-stimulating hormone).
